    max path length. and a winsock book.

    hi,

    was busy plugging away at a file wrapper class, and realised i don't actually know what the maximum path length is for a file. does anyone know what it is?

    on a completely unrelated note, can anyone recommend a book that covers winsock2 - particulary TCP/IP, and also the telnet and ftp protocols?

    but then that is only if you're talking about windows. I don't know about other systems.
