linking an object file and help regarding overlays.

I am using Turbo C++ version 3.0 and i never compiled using the command line. now, i have got a problem. i have to compile the source .cpp file to a .obj file using tcc.exe (i got that -- its using the -C option), and link the file using tlink.exe -- now thats where i am stuck. can you give me an example where i need to link a sample .obj file to an .exe file using tlink.exe.

And by the way, what are .map files?

And how in the world can i create overlays (.ovl) files?
