gcc 3.2
Another one of these...w00t
VC++ .NET/6.0
MS VC++ 6 Pro. (I have several, but that is what I use).
mingw 3.2
and sometimes
Borland Bcc55 //but rarely
MSVC++ and MingW (using the Dev-C++ IDE).
We use some old compilers here at work too... Quick-C, some old Watcom, etc. (Mostly to maintain older programs.)
It's a bummer using outdated stuff, but there are advantages to using the same thing as everyone else in the class, and the same thing as the instructor.
There several free compilers... if the instructor was motivated learn a new one and upgrade.
I saw a survey showing that the Free Borland (command line) compiler is the most popular free compiler. I assume that Microsoft VC++ is the most popular non-free compiler.
MS VC++ 6
MS VC++ 6.0 Intro Ed.
msvc 7 pro
MSVC 6 Enterprise Edition (w00t! I feel special, im the only one with EE :p)
MS VS.NET
Dev-C++ (MingW)
Nope. I have it too. :PQuote:

i have MSVC++ 6 EE for windows but i spend a lot lot more time programming on linux. Also for the EE thing, correct me if i am wrong, but isnt the COMPILER the same for EE and non-EE...there are just more tools added to the IDE, etc...but i think that the base compiler is the same...
I use MS Visual Studio 6.0 Professional Edition.(MSVC++)
- JLBShecky
C++ Builder from Borland
I use Visual C++ 6.0 for C, Borland 5.5/6.0 and DevC++ 4/4.9.8 for C++.
I use dev C++
me too :DQuote:

Visual Studio .NET 2003
Visual Studio .NET Architect
Visual Studio 6.0 Enterprise Edition
Hopefully soon to use:
CodeWarrior 8.0 Professional.
BTW, if anyone would like the *Trials* of the previously listed compilers I will happily provide it to you.
gcc/g++
my signature says it all. I have used Borland Turbo C++ 4.5, C++ Builder 5.5, mingw, and MSVC 6, but gcc 3.2 is my favorite compiler thusfar. It's just so... standard-compliant.
BCC 5.5 (borland free command line compiler)
and
MSVC++ 5.0 (yes, five)
damnit, being in the EE club was much more fun when i thought i was the only member :(
gcc 3.2
Keep thinking it and be happy! Ignorance is bliss :DQuote:

I use Borland 5.5 Proff. I like it as well.
I use Borland C++ Builder 5 Pro or whatever version of gcc 3.2 that is needed for the platform that i'm programming on. I find the multiplatform support for gcc 3.2 very helpful, but I use the RAD of C++ Builder because I'm lazy.
