    Debugging questions

Ok, this may sound stupid, but what does debugging do? I have Borland 5.02, I run the debugger and nothing is really different. Are there things I don't know about. Does it really even debug? How can something technically even be debugged. It either has an error, or a 'bug', but if it doesn't stop the program from working, how can it be caught in a degugger? I am confused.

The debugger doesnt debug your code. Rather it allows you to step thru the code a line at a time or to set breakpoints where you run to a certain point then pause. You can set watches on your variables to make sure they contain expected values at expected times. Read the compiler documentation for more specifics.
