    Post C ++ for dummies...

    let's face it... some of us arent exactly programming material. but i believe that anything can be accomplished through hard work and sacrifice. So, i have this awesome book to reccomend to you, it is C ++ for dummies, and after reading this book cover to cover i can testify i am a better programmer in spite of it. Stephen Randy Davis, the author , makes the book interesting to read, adding some humerous anticdotes or making fun of someone famous because... well he can . i strongly reccomend this book for anyone starting out, it cost me bout 24 $ in US so good luck !

    there isn't too much humor in that book, imho. the version i read (i think 4th edition) went deep into object oriented metaphors. but it's still a good read. it's how i was introduced to c++.

    Yup, C++ for dummies is an excellent book, even for those who don't have a clue about what is a compiler. I learned C++ from that book, too.
    Using Dev-C++ beta under Win XP Pro. That or g++ on Mandrake Linux 9.0 .
