    Question Help with Math...

    I'm not the best at math so i need some help.

    How many bytes are there in 2GB?

    I know 1024 bytes are in 1KB but help me understand how to calculate this.

    32x32=1024

    Is it by powers? : (1024^3)*2 = the number I want or what???

    Yes.
    1 GB = 1024^3 bytes = 1073741824 bytes

    But if you ask the harddrive manufacturers:
    1 GB = 1000^3 bytes = 1000000000 bytes

    My question was for a drive I was partitioning. I partioned it at 2000MB for 2Gb but that was only 1.95GB according to windows.

    so next time I'll partition 2048MB's.
