    UltraEdit

I also like TextPad and use it for basic HTML, MASM, hex veiwing, Windows Scripting etc....kind of lost without it!!

Dont use UltraEdit, but with TextPad, you can download a fully functional version for free...the only bad thing is an occasional reminder...but its no great bother

Awesome IDE's are the Grasp series.

pcGrasp is very light, and the control structure diagram is very helpful, as is the auto-indenting (but don't get too used to it)

jGrasp, by comparison, is rather heavy, but it includes a myriad of additional features, like the ability to collapse and expand scopes and functions, and better java syntax handlling.

    You can find both here.
