I am attempting to use the searchpath function located at:
I include the <direct.h> header and my compiler (C++ .net) does not seem to find any specification for searchpath.
I also tried to include the <dir.h> header in the example and I get an error message from my compiler saying it cannot find dir.h.
How do I enable my code to use the searchpath function?:(
So, you use C++ .Net as a compiler and you are seeing Digital Mars compiler's tutorials. direct.h is not a standard header and therefore it has to be Digital Mars-specific. Your compiler is C++ .Net and that is the reason why those non-standard headers don't work for you. You have two(2) options:
1) Implement <whatever> with your own compiler and with its functions.
2a) Install Digital Mars compiler.
2b) Port Digital Mars libraries to C++ .Net
Someone sent me a link to digital mars a few weeks ago.
I had no idea the url was compiler specific!
Some of the functions work on C++ .net including _chdir and _getcwd.
That is great and all but that doesn't truly help VanJay011379. So VanJay, do you have a header called dirent.h? It is standard as far as I know. Tell me if you do. Otherwise you can try some windows calls.
