    Arrow New Forum Poster: Gutrat

    Yeah, sadly I know almost nothing about programming yet. I've been trying to do some stuff. Then I found this forum. Hopefully you guys may help me begin my career as a programmer, although, im only in high school. The earlier, the better?

    Anyways, could you guys help me?
    Whats programs do you use for writing your code...ect
    I use Microsoft Visual C++... it has a built in compiler...right?

    Thanks in advance.

    MSVC++ 6.0 ?
    MSVC++ .NET?

    Anyway, yes it is a compiler. Just one with a nice interface and a couple of other cool options you'll learn as you progress.

    Waoh, a reply already! Thanks Traveller. Yes, is Microsoft Visual C ++ what you use? If not, are there any alternatives?

    Yes, I use MSVC++ .NET Their are alternatives with Boreland, DEV-C++, and a couple others. I have used a couple others in my time and I have to say I do prefer (*looks around to make sure no one in throwing distance*) Microsoft over the other available ones, both free and not.
