    after 'jumping to c++'

    I am a professional Java programmer and I just finsihed reading above mentioned book. A great book! So what should be my next book? I was thinking about Stroustrup: The C++ Programming Language (4th Edition)

    Follow this list: Good C++ book nowadays? .

    I've done so with 3-4 gaps, and a few extra and each one was an eye opener for sure.

    Slow and Steady wins the race... if and only if :
    1.None of the other participants are fast and steady.
    2.The fast and unsteady suddenly falls asleep while running !

    I don't think it is a good book especially for learning purposes but it is a good book if and only if you want it for reference purposes.I gives ideas in a very straight forward way that is for someone who doesn't have to time allow the author to beat around the bush before he introduces a point and unlike many author who tend to coin out a program and make many references to that program throughout the book Stroustrup does't do so.
    In C++14 you just write "auto auto(auto auto) { auto; }".
    The compiler infers the rest from context.
