1 minute later I get to the comment that says // infinite menu loop
and my heart starts to sink.

yea - i liked ' try ... catch' .. being used in a go fish program
But, super funny as that 'line' is - you really should let people know first what the problem is , rather than 'trawl' your code looking for problems - people be happy to build it after that if required i.e. not obvious from the error where to look
