Keeping same line in a console

heya all!, i'm new to the board so i'm saying hi to all but i do have a question.

is there a function that would let you change the possition of your output? like maybe "locate(1,1);" ( <-- example, may not work here) to put the output down one and across one? (in console)

    any ideas?
    Is that air you're breathing?
