    Exclamation I wanna start gfx!!!

    NO, I will NOT go back to DJGPP and have someone tell me to go back to Borland or something. I wanna start some graphics but don't have a clue where to start. No DirectX No OpenGL

    No directx, no opengl?

    Then assembly is probably the answer to your question. I'd say pick up a generic book on graphics (like anything on computer graphics) and start implementing the stuff with assembly.
    It kind of sounds like you want to reinvent the wheel and I just don't get it.

    I've heard the SDL is pretty easy to learn, but I've not tried it myself (the Windows version is a wrapper for GDI and DirectDraw functions).

    I don't know but if you have a look at their FAQ it looks as if people have had sucess with other compilers.

    if not GL????!?!?!?!!?!?!? and i respect the no DX hheheh who would use that anyway...

    then try the GDI.

    I tried and OpenGL example in my compiler (look in my signature). It doesn't work. Can someone give me an example?

    what about it doesn't work?
    compiler errors?
    runtime errors?

    anyways GDI,assembly, and BGI are about all thats left then...

    I guess i can start OpenGL but it won't work. It gave me a compiler error.
