Thread: Counting letters in window

How do I get the text which is in the window to count all the letters in a window?

I'm going to use MFC/C++

Why don't you just count them as they go out? Theres no function that I know of which will return the number of characters in a window.

In MOTIF, I can get the text from any item that is displayed. Then parse it to count the printable characters. MFC should have a similair function.

I think there is. Check the windows board right now because i think something like this was being discussed very recently.
