    who can help me the section 7.2.1.3 int the book TAoCP VOL 4 ?

    what's the mean about the relation "S >= dt >= … >= d2 >= d1 >= 0"? how can get the "dj"?

    I'm not going to dig up the book, not that I'd necessarily be able to help you. You might want to type out the entire area you're talking about or otherwise clarify yourself better.

    What does this have to do with C++, though? This looks like pure mathematics, and a poor describing book at that.
