    how do I declare a function that returns a char array

    I am using a function that returns a character array but I don't know how to declare the fuction.

    Can anyone help please ??

    eg :

    char test(char e[]){

    char b[30] =e[];

    return b[30];

    }

    char * function ( char array[] )
