    Another question, is C/C++ mainly +,-,x and *?
    Is there any algeba involved?

    yeah, it's just that the basics is generally the hardest part to grasp.

    Is there a site witha tutorial that explains the basics more clearly?
    The one that this site seems to just jump straight into it thinking that you have prior knowledge of C++.

    Well, is there any other sites?/tutorials?

    well, I learned the basics from a book and then when I went to learn the *harder* stuff (even though its not very hard), I came to this board. Its much better becuase its easier (for me, anyway) to learn from a person, then a massive clump of text.

    Oh, is MS Visual Basic like a "super" compiler or something?
    Or just a different version of C/C++?
    I heard it's like $600 - $700
