question about those command thngy's

    Thumbs up question about those command thngy's

    Does anybody have a list of system commands (if that's what they're called).

    eg.
    Code:
    system("Pause");
    or
    Code:
    system("cls");

    whatever you command interpreter understands,
    DOS is command.com
    Win is cmd.exe
    Linux is /bin/bash

    I meant "system calls". Not "commands".

    These are just the API calls to your operating system - like in unix operating systems, fork() is a system call.

    Your example system("foo"); has nothing to do with this. The system() function passes a string to your current command line interpreter.

    for windows try the ms knowlege base and look form console commands.

    for linux i guess the ldp would be the best the bet, dont know the url for the main site though
