    Lecture Videos?

    Hey I was wondering if anyone knew of any video lessons. I've been doing about an hour or so a day of practice learning off .pdfs and stuff. I'm not looking at anything resembling programming in my course load probably for another 2 years so I'm not waiting till then.

    Someone had posted a link to the Programming Paradigms from Stanford's video lectures and I watched about all of them so far. But they assume a background in C++ already and most of it is going over my head or I cannot replicate it.

    Being a hands on and visual learner, reading isn't my best learning platform. A quick google search didn't turn up too much for me. Just a couple of randoms. And as I get further into C++, hearing some of the concepts out loud make it easier to understand them.

    So again my question... Does anyone know of a beginner lecture video series that I can purchase or check out online?

    Appreciate any help guys!

    Well about 2 seconds of Google work found this:
    Programming Language Video Lectures - Free Science and Video Lectures Online!

    But to be brutally honest, if you have trouble learning new programming techniques from reading, you are going to have a hard time of it since that is how, oh, 99% of it is conveyed...I mean look where you are at this moment? However if you need videos, I know they are out there, just Google a bit. I know all of MITs stuff is online and free. If you want to pay for them there are some cheezy Professor <something> videos they will be happy to charge you a hundred bones per lesson for...
    C/C++ Environment: GNU CC/Emacs
    Make system: CMake
    Debuggers: Valgrind/GDB

    Yeah I checked most the front page results on google out, and didn't really have what I was looking for. There are randoms I could patch together. I'm currently learning everything through writing, but sometimes hearing it differently makes it easier. I've gotten into pointers, classes, and file i/o.
