    Question Shell Programming

Hi, I'm using Borland C++. I want to program a simple shell (I think is the right word), something like MS-DOS PROMPT. Where should I start, what websites would be good to look at, any tutorials that could be helpful, or if anyone directly know shell(or whatever ya call it) programming. Thanks.

    well..

It is not shell programmiing so don't call it that I geuss you would just say it's makeing a command prompt type thing and I think a real good knowledge of loops would be good elberate more on what you want it to do and what OS to be on and such...

go to FILE than to NEW and then to CONSOLE WIZARD........and before you click ok make sure that "C++" is checked off as well as "console application"

    and then just click O.K.

    you are ready to program........

    Good Luck

i think he might be talking about coding something like the bash shell, and that would be fairly complex

i don't know about the free version, maybe you can can snoop around Google or maybe Borland's offical website has some "free" trial version.......or you can look around the internet and i am sure you can buy one for about $50. of course not the professional version........

    Good Luck.
