4.5 is released under the LGPL as well, so you can use it in commercial software for free, as long as you comply with the terms of using an LGPL library.if you want to develop any commercial software with it, you have to pay trolltech or risk legal action.
In practice, the way I understand the license, this means linking dynamically against Qt and not adding any debugger killer to your app.
