Want to make a skin changer

for a couple of games i play i want to be able to have a skin change outside of the game i was wondering if i could write something like this with DEVC++
its like MS right? Just needs to be simple want to know if this will be good idea or should i write it into the game as a script?

If you can write it in as a script then do so, the simplest method is usually the best. I have no idea what game this is for and thus no clue as to how the skin changing works so that's all the help I can offer.
