    Sorry about being anal retentive. It's just that I just implemented this very logic in Clang a few weeks ago, and it's been quite burned into my brain.

    That's alright - I clarified mainly because I wanted to make sure I didn't misunderstand what you said.

    I know how things work from experience of the black-box side, you actually know what the gadgets that are inside the box does, so I'm happy to be corrected when I'm wrong.
