    That's because he didn't take part in the discussion to help clarify the problem.

    A number of options were presented, but there was no response from the OP. So everyone just assumes that whatever was said was good enough, or they left for good (another drive-by poster) and found their answer elsewhere.

    It wasn't inefficient, he just failed to contribute more than a shallow question. Perhaps he should have gone back to the old thread and continued it.

    Is it just me or should this guy first pick up a book and then ask more detailed questions? I took two semesters of systems programming to learn low level hardware programming. And I am still a noob.
