:confused: I want to make a text adventure, which I have been doing with Adrift, but i want to make it in C. The program running in a DOS window is no problem, I just don't know the code for it, im a newbie and still looking through tutorials.

The best 'text adventures' are compiled in linux os.
A friend's site ' http://darkoth.kyndig.com/ ' should help you out lots with information how to start one, and what you need. (system wise) Even a running copy of a 'stock' codebase may be available for d/l and some snippits of sources to imploment.
