Where are all the C tutorials?

I am new here and would like to say pretty nice community you have here. I as a little confused to see the name cprogramming.com and most of the information seems for C++? I would like to get a better understanding of the C language to assist me to better understand how many unix things work. Is there a recommended place to start? I understand and write perl and shell well. I have already bought and am reading C Programming by Ritchie and blah. I am looking for something to accelerate the learning curve. Like exercises that one can work on that result in actual usable tools. Anyone know of something like this? ANyone point in a direction to most useful?
