The history of computer systems today?

    so first we had
    ENIAC>FORTRAN>COBOL>AGOL
    then C i believe
and from C we (us humans) made UNIX,MAC comps
and Java came from C, which became SUNSOLARIS
    right
but where did Windows come from
    MSDOS, which was......
    if MSDOS came from C
dosen't that make C, the most useful programming language

    if you know plz post
    thanks

No langauge is "most useful". By my opinion, c++ is far more useful then c. Then again, assembly is very useful too, just not for writing a whole program.

im sure there are more efficient languages for whatever task needs to be done, but C is the basis of everything it seems
