Thread: opening and using zip files

Could one of you point me in the direction of a good tutorial? I've searched this site and google just spat crap in my face too, many thanks.

creating a program to read .zip formatted files is pretty complicated stuff! definitely not for beginning programmers. www.pkzp.com (Pkware Inc. the creators of that file format) has libraries for $$$ that you can buy that will let your program access those files. I don't know if there are any open source libraries or not, although Pkware Inc. put the file format into public domain after they created it.
