    cursortype and string deleting

hi!i need some help on next issues:
    - i have tc 2.01 compiler downloaded from borland's museum site. in my program i need setcursortype() function(i want cursor to disappear in some parts of the program), but it seems that it's not defined in conio.h. can i replace this file with other(and where can i find it) or do something else?
    - what is the better way to "delete"(fullfil with '\0') a character string defined as one dimension array, using a "for" cycle to delete every element or using memset() function?

Yeah, there's a reason it was on their museum site. That's because it belongs there. Go get a real compiler.

As for looping or using memset, they both do the exact same thing (they use a loop), so doing it yourself saves you the "overhead" of a function call. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
