    Programing a bootdisk

    Hi,

I'm just wondering if someone could help me understand how to make a bootdisk? And no, I dont mean going into a windows "make boot disk.." utility, I mean actually having nothing more thena a set of drivers, a blank disk and some programming skills (not that I have an abundance of that...) and actually doing the coding necessary to create and run a bootdisk. Can anyone point me in the right direction (i.e www links etc).

    Cheers
    Ray

A bootdisk is the kernal and a few basic utilites for an operating system. To make one yourself you'll have to create your own OS.

here's a link to a recent thread on making your own OS. Its a lot to wade through, but it gives some good starting info, as well as a great link on how to write your own boot disk.
