    what's the code to open a .txt file on unix.

    There are books, online tutorials,old posts (search button),and you still turn up going "give me some code". The idea of these boards is that you turn up with some code and say "I have pondered the situation and now i'm stuck. here is the code of my last attempt.Will you help me fix it?". Do you get the picture!

    The C standard library is the same on all platforms (theoretically). Look into fopen().
