Is there a simple way in C to check what files are in a directory - how many there are, how big, date and file attribute?
Thanks in advance for any help!

I think your question is plataform specific, what plataform you're working? if in Linux - check out the FAQ of vVv, else check the FAQ for Cprogramming.com
Sorry should have put - its a dos based app running on NT.
What's still in the FAQ? Do you mean about me neglecting to mention which OS?
Is there a "How To Answer Questions The Smart Way"? LOL
Thanks for the link.
But, to be honest I don't think I put "it doesn't work" - I just wanted some advice.
And as for helpless-ness, I would assume that the solution to 100% of all posts on every forum can be sourced from somewhere else on the internet - but I must be mistaken in assuming that forums were for people to help each other out with problems that they themselves have come across without complaining about FAQ's and telling people they're helpless. Apologies if we don't all meet your level of worthiness!
Cheers mate, but I think I'll post somewhere else in future!
This link should help you along with what you want.
Thanks for that.
Looks a lot like gibberish at the moment, but sure that I will get my head around it!
