If you want some TCP/IP programming resources and you have a Linux or UNIX workstation I definitely recommend getting "Unix Network Programming" Volume I by Richard Stevens. It is a TCP/IP programming bible. Even if you run Windows, I would still recommend getting this book. It explains every possible aspect of network programming in a lot of detail with a lot of examples. And Windows uses the a lot of same functions in its Winsock2 library.
