    ya its in two different file. The first part is the water level sensor detector which is in the access point .
    Code:

    Yeah, I worked that out a bit later.

    Did you try my code from post #29?

    Of course he didn't. Everything is exactly the same in his last two posts. He's not listening to anything anyone says. He just wants it done for him.

    No you aren't. I ran a diff on your two last codes you've shown, and they are identical. I'm sure if I looked at the first one, that would be the same too.

    So look at your code on the sensor. So far as I can tell you send 15 time units of 'A', then 15 time units of 'W', then 15 time units of 'E' -- since the distinction is based on count, which as far as I can tell is just your timer. Perhaps you should be checking your ADC10MEM instead? (Or at least checking for something other than 80.)

    bivhitscar: I just tried out code from post #29. But its not working. It does not show anything when it reaches 10cm in 7 segment.

    I agree with tabstop, I'm pretty sure the problem is in the transmitter side.

    Code:
    #define P3_set_out P2DIR |=0x01;//set Pin 3 and pin 4 to output
    #define P4_set_out P2DIR |=0x02;
    This code enables what I think is the 7 segments digit control pins;
    You only do this for "E".
    Code:
        P3_set_out;
        P4_set_out;
    My best guess of all the output pins
    Code:
    Water level sensor output pins
        P1.0    Led
        P1.1    Led
        P2.0 Select 7 Segment Tens Digit
        P2.1 Select 7 Segment Ones Digit
        P2.2    segment A
        P2.3    segment B
        P2.4    segment C

        P4.3    segment D
        P4.4    segment E
        P4.5    segment F
        P4.6    segment G

    I think not because of below code; implies P2.0 and P2.1 has to do with high and low digits
    Code:
        num_1=(30/10);
        r_1=30%10;
        num_2=r_1/1;
        if(count>=0&&count<=4)
        {
          P2OUT &=~0x03;
          P2OUT |=0x01;
          num=num_1;
        }
        if(count>=5&&count<=10)
        {
          P2OUT &=~0x03;
          P2OUT |=0x02;
          num=num_2;
        }

    Right -- they get set in those statements, so setting them (or not) above doesn't do a great deal one way or the other.

    EDIT: Oh right, OUT and DIR are not the same thing, as pointed out below. What I'd really like to see is "where is the test for >30" (or 20, or 10) -- maybe that's what INCH_0 and INCH_1 and INCH_2 are supposed to represent, although why you can only have 30 during the first 15 ms (or whatever) and only 20 during the next, I don't know.

    Well, P2OUT and P2DIR are different statements. Either way, the OP has a fairly considerable problem with the logic in the transmitter.

    I have not looked at the transmitter code(detector); just the receiver code (alarming). The receiver code needs a lot of work, too.
