    c questions again. Please answer.

Is it true c got limits, you cannot write anything with it because it isn't object oriented n you can only write everything with c++?
Btw, can you also make beautiful modern games, beautiful graphics with c? Only answer these questions. No comments about other languages. Thank u very much. I wanna be able to do anything i want with no limits. What should i choose: c or c++?

You can do anything with C that you can do with C++. But C++ makes a lot of things easier and gives you more options. C++ is also much bigger and harder to learn. I think unless you need C for some reason, like programming on an embedded platform without a C++ compiler or the available C++ compilers suck, just learn C++.

    Nothing wrong with learning both.
    >>I wanna be able to do anything i want with no limits.
There are system programmers, application developers, web developers, embedded, ....
    You don't do everything!
The main point is just don't learn X because X can do anything you want.

I don't know who you're listening to but you need to find a different mentor... Of course you can make games and graphics in C.

It is true that some programming languages are better at *one thing* others are better *something else* but when you pull back and examine them on the larger playing field... it's pretty much a tie. If there is a noticeable difference it will be between COMPILERS not languages. Really, stop and think how painfully dumb it would be to produce a language with some major capability missing... "Well this is ZED my new programming language, she's a beauty, but she don't write disk files"... it would be dead in a week.

FWIW... many of the major games are wrtten in C as are many of the drawing programs out there... The ultimate graphics program of all time --Windows-- was written in C.

You have been told at least five times. I t d o e s n o t m a t t e r. Choose whatever you like better. Both will satisfy your needs - presumed you have enough energy to learn either language. Repeating the same questions and statements a hundred times will not get you any other answer.

Ok you want some professional advice... Pick a different career.

Here's how it works in the real world... You start with one skilset... you get good at it, then you expand your horizons into another set of skills and get good at that too... then you do it again. The learning experience never stops. It makes little or no difference where you start learning... JUST SO YOU DON'T STOP LEARNING.

    Really...

Definition of "Functional Insanity"... repeating the same failed behaviors over and over again, expecting a different result.
    dennis.cpp and Salem like this.

Ok... lets see if I can get this to sink in...

It makes no difference which language you start with... Because there ain't nothing going to happen until you actually get started

This business you got going on about being unable to make up your mind suggests very strongly that you really don't want to do this at all.

You've never even looked in a text book and suddenly you're writing Operating Systems?

You may want to consider that several of the programmers here are very experienced with years of full time programming under their belts but would balk at the notion of writing their own operating system... This is a truly daunting task, even for the best of us.

But to answer your question... yes you could do all that in C++, or C, or ASM, or Pascal, or D, or any of a number of other languages.
