Whoa, whoa, whoa. We can't take advice from just anyone. You're gonna need to go out and get a PhD before you start spreading misinformation in this thread.

OK, I'm back from 7-11 with my coffee, Big Bite, and PhD.

Throwing the computer out the window has been proven to crash the computer on most occasions. It's also an effective method to clear the screen.

Useless fact of the day: 85% of the population can curl their tongue into a tube.
Wot, all at the same time? Have to be a big tube, and just think of the germs

Gentle people, this is an urban legend. Please ignore it. It's just C programming's soda and pop rocks theory.

Do you know how strong hard drives are? The other day when I bought a new hdd, I went into the backyard with a sledger hammer (like, a really massive one) and the old 15gb hdd and started smashing it as hard as I could and it took like 12 direct hits before starting to show any signs of damage!

Well, now all evidence is destroy!
Please direct all complaints regarding this post to the nearest brick wall Have a nice day.

This is a fantastic thread. Especially when so many people who post on the boards are experienced programmers...The only time I've seen a functions cause actual damage is when you are dealing with very low level stuff. And usually it is not hardware damage. The usual damage is done to critical system software. I'll still use fprintf() I appologize to all of those people whose hard drives will soon be destroyed by my reckless use of fprintf()

OK people, I guess most of us had a good laugh eight months ago, let's not open up a discussion about something way past.

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.
