Thread: After having a basic knowledge of C...

So after I have read a couple of books on learning the C programming language,what can I do or what should I read in order to get better at programming,gain the suitable mindset of a programmer and be able to write the algorithms that I want for any program I would have in mind?

What are the steps I should take before even attempting to make a program?I didn't find very much info on this and I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

Two words of advice: Write Code.
