Thread: Help in Compiler Design ?

Hi. I just want to design a Compiler. But I don't know its full working.
Is it Possible to design a compiler only with C Language or Assembly is also necessary..???
How about if I try for a basic Compiler ???
Before moving to the Big one, I want to write a Code in C Which check the Errors in a C Program.
please guide me from where i can Start this..!!!!
