    C keyboard hooks for linux

I am very interested in the concept of the keylogger. I have Googled it but haven't found much. Everything I find is for C sharp or C++ and I still do not know how these things are made up, and the functions used. Maybe a linux version of GetAsyncKeyState. But i have searched everywhere and everyone adds their two cents but not a legit answer. I know it would be a lot easier in C++ and a whole lot easier if i was coding it for windows but i am using Ubuntu Linux and obviously code in C. Posting was my last result, sorry!
Thanks in advance for any help

Let me put it this way.
If you had only 1 post, and posted that, then it would have been deleted without comment.
    C Board - Announcements in Forum : C Programming

People who go from "how do I compile?" through "How do I do networking" and "How to keylog" in short order are not the kind of people we have a great deal of time for.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

Ok maybe I shouldn't have posted the keylogger question. Not the place for it but regaurdless of the number of questions or the context of them I dont see why I couldn't be helped. This is a forum for helping people.

so I can write my own tools
Then go write your own tools, because as has been pointed out, no one on this forum has any interest in helping you write a key logger. I would advise you to not only not ask questions like this, but to not react the way you have, or you'll very quickly find that no one wants to help you with anything.
