function parameter/ function argument

Hey can someone give me a suggestion on a small program(s) that i can write to strengthen my function argument/ function parameter area? I am having a hard time in this area!

Rather than a suggestion for programs, I would say give this a read (link to subsequent chapter at the bottom of each page).

In case you are wondering, it is a link to an archive of an old site I used to maintain. I wrote the articles, which are quite wordy (overly so, I think, which undoubtedly makes matters less clear), but I believe are accurate enough.
