So far I have been rather disappointed with the new board, it seems less educational than before, some advanced topics posted or far out (making mountains out of mole hills) answers to simple programming questions put by us newbies of posting. Also rather annoyed when I do find a thread that seems interesting only to find that the answer is coded in C++. As a newbie I would much rather read C Code in the C board, as I am studying C. Some of us are not bi-lingual, and it is tough enough to understand without having to plough through C++. how does one progress from being a juniour member to member, and what advantages does this bring.
The good thing about the last board was there were no ranking system to distinguish one user from another, we were all the same as in now we have this inferiority complex with moderators galore, members and down trodden junior members ?
WHY O WHY. Bring back the educational side to the site that I found a great aid in my studies, not a super ego trip for semi-professional programmers.
