No idea, but you could write your own:
blog.bjrn.se: Let's build an MP3-decoder!
What does that mean?
Do you want to play MP3 files on an off-the-shelf MP3 player and connect a cable from the player's output jack to the input of a generic processor board with a C51 running your code? If that's the case, I think any MP3 player should be about the same.
If not, then what?
I want to connect the mp3 player to the kit and be able to write a program tat activates and stops the player when I want.
The mp3 player is supposed to be connected to loudspeakers.
So can I use any MP3 player for his or what??
An analog headphone/speaker jack really only has two parameters that could be different: impedance and amplitude.
I'm not sure what impedance they drive (8 ohms?) but they're probably all the same.
You can adjust the amplitude up to some maximum with the volume control.
I suppose cheaper players will have poorer sound quality especially at higher amplitudes, but that shouldn't be a surprise. So, yeah. Use any.
