    ascii symbols in C

    Hi! I'm new to the C programming language, just started learning it, and I was wondering - if I'm using Borland C++ 3.1, is there a function to draw, for example, tables using different ASCII table symbols, like it was possible in pascal with chr() function?

    Assuming your console is on the same code page as you are, then yes. You can assign values straight out, as in
    Code:
    char pound_sign = 156;
    or embed them in hex format, using \x<whatever>, or in octal format using \0<whatever>.
