    And what about non-gcc users?

    Apparently I read the GCC section of the SDL manual. Perhaps the VS section would help .

    Right, their website is such a mess. No idea where to find that information (archive is where?).
    Oh well.

    Simple DirectMedia Layer

    On the left, there is a "Doc Wiki" link. Click it.

    Go to "FAQ_Frequently_Asked_Questions"

    It's all there.

    FAQ_Compiling_on_Linux - SDL Documentation Wiki
    FAQ_Compiling_on_Microsoft_Visual_C++ - SDL Documentation Wiki
    FAQ_Compiling_on_GCC_in_Windows - SDL Documentation Wiki
    FAQ_Compiling_on_Dev-C++ - SDL Documentation Wiki

    Took me all of 1 minute to find everything. And no, I have not been to that website for at least 2 years.

    I have absolutely no idea how you found those, even though I looked in the "doc wiki" (which I have no idea what it's supposed to mean, btw).

    Well, doc is usually short for documentation. Wiki describes how it's maintained. I'm assuming you know what wiki's are?

    Yeah, and then there's the FAQ link which all kinds of stuff, even in foreign languages.
    I believe you find it because you've been there before. I haven't. It's not easy to find something by navigating through that site.

    I agree the main page is a bit confusing. That's why it took me so much time. I clicked a few wrong links.

    I don't remember anything (not conciously anyways) from my last visit. I visit hundreds of sites everyday, and usually won't remember the layout of a site I spent a few minutes on 2 years ago.
