networking with Turbo C...

is there anyone who can help me with networking?

i knon that every PC in this world has an UNIQUE address or number. is it the IP address?
if so, then how can i get and detect an individual PC IP address or its number?

pls help me...
i am trying to protect piracy by using Turbo C editor and its compiler and my platform is Windows 98, 2000 and NT.
