    programming help...!!!!

I have a desktop pc with a 1GB RAM, 2.3GHz intel core 2 duo processor and a nvidea graphics card.My operating system is Windows XP.

I am working on a program to interface an rs232 port with my computer and to read the resulting waveform from an ECG circuit. The circuit will sense the heart beat and send the corresponding resulting signals through the port to the computer. Now to interace the port with my machine and to read the data , am using c to create a file on recieving and interpreting the waveform on a bitmap.

Can anybody advise me hoe to go through the program....do i need to learn file handling for this...and where can i find relevant hardware interfacing with c tutorials

    Eagerly waiting for a reply....

So nice to know who's handling the important things in life, like ECG interpretation.

Well, i suppose you should start looking at on how to read data out of serial port. Google "serial programming on windows or rs232 prrogramming using C".

    And thats your start point.
