    Difference between gprof and gcov

    Hi,
    I was wondering what is the difference between gprof and gcov? Seems to me they are same? Some even say to use them together?

    gprof tells you how long various things took to execute.
    gcov tells you what lines of code were executed, to tell you how good your tests are.
    If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
    If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
