I saw a job ad recently lokking for a programmer to develop gui
applications on a windows platform in C.
Can you really create gui's in C ? If so how ?
I know that this is readily done in C++,

Contrary to that notion, GUIs were available long before C++, using C. And, in order to maintain compatibility with C, they must still support C.
