Installing GTK+?

Hi,

I've been trying to install GTK+ for use with Code::Blocks. I've looked all over to find a dummy friendly guide to installing this but I can't find one anywhere. I've got all the GTK+ files in a folder on my hard drive. I don't have a clue what to do with them now... If I can't install these I might have to resort to the Win32 API instead, which I really don't want to do.

So if anyone could point me in the right direction I would be so grateful,
