Do you think this might be messing up my brain?

Having a speaker almost on top of my head, well you know does this really do any damage the loud music and/or the magnet?

yep. in fact id say you have around 8 minutes to live.
    (7)

if you are really really close the mangetic fields may cause small harm over many years.

the small amount of radiation may also cause damage over a period of many years.

loud noise does cause damage to the ear over a period of years and can de-sensitize your ear to noise.

*hurries up to the stereo* *changes speakers around*.........(no really I just did that), now wonder I kinda felt tension in my head when the music was playing and I was close to them.

Actually, studies have shown that magnets can be beneficial. Although the sound probably is not, at least you have magnets.

Other studies have proven that constant hard rock music can mess with you brain. I've heard that hard rock music can sometimes make you reverse wrong and right in your brain...

Of course. And dont forget Devil Worship, Animal Sacrifice, Self-Mutilation, Microsoft Idolisation, Code Without Comments, Bad Grammar, Bad Speling, Bad Breath, Mumbling, and Use Of The goto Statement. All of which can readily be proven to stem from that hell-spawned satan-fest called rock music.

The Devil made me do it.

P.S. I wish i had a giant speaker behind my head. I have to settle for 4 largish speakers on the floor moderatly close by.

Haha..sleep is true. But I actually like classical now and then. Theres something about it that calms my mind sometimes. And theres something about it that seems so clever. You can really see the genius in a lot of it. Its what got me started listening to NPR, which led me to a range of awesome programming...so Ive got to thank it for that. But, if im actually just listning to music, its much more likely going to be smashing pumpkins, pearl jam, stp, or if I REALLY want some quality Ill bust out the pink floyd
